New Music Tuesday: Britney Spears, Kanye West & Jay-Z, The Script, Kidz Bop Kids
Most new music comes out on Tuesdays (it's a U.S. record business tradition), and each week we cull through the mountain of new releases to bring you some of the best from across different genres. Click below, or find them in Napster's New Releases section.
Britney Spears, "Hold It Against Me" (pop): The flirtatious single from the pop princess (with the help of Max Martin and Dr. Luke) has quickly made its way into Napster's Top 10 tracks, turning a cheesy pick-up line into a dancefloor hit, packed with ravey keys and a dramatic half-time dubstep-style breakdown.
Kanye West & Jay-Z, "H.A.M." (hip-hop): The boisterous acronym expands to "Hard As a Motherf***r," and that's exactly the sound you get from the combination of Kanye and Jay-Z trading verses over a Lex Luger beat. It's the first single from their upcoming collaboration album, Watch the Throne.
The Script, Science & Faith (pop, rock): An Irish band known for their impeccable songwriting and production, this album is the follow-up to their successful 2008 self-titled debut. It features a dozen new tracks including the singles " For the First Time," "Nothing," and "If You Ever Come Back."
Kidz Bop Kids, Kidz Bop 19 (children's music, pop): The latest installment in the popular Kidz Bop franchise features more kid-friendly covers of the latest pop hits, including Usher's "DJ Got Us Falling in Love," Katy Perry's "Firework," Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are," and Taio Cruz's "Dynamite."
